First Fridays:

• On August 6th, we will be hosted by Pat and Nancy Callahan.
• Our September 3rd gathering will be hosted by Carol Zee at Kanaloa.

Upcoming Events

• Voter Registration on August 18 and 19th – we will be at K-Mart again this year, and we need volunteers. Because we are coordinating our efforts with the League of Women Voters, please contact Sue Dursin.
• September – Our Kick-Off Event will include a presentation by our own Debbie Hecht about local land use issues. We will also have a short discussion about the revision of our mission and its meaning. Opportunities to sign up for committees and interest groups will round out the evening. We will meet at 7 PM at the Kona Vista pavilion. This is a great time to invite guests who may be interested in membership.
• October 9th - Ironman Triathlon finish line volunteering, which means serving pizza to athletes as they arrive at the finish line area. This activity allows us to donate $500 to the AAUW Scholarship Fund.
• October event – We will have the opportunity to learn more about skin care in this tropical environment from our guest speaker, Chantal Dechate.
