First Fridays 2009-2010 Schedule for the second half of the year:

• December – No First Friday due to our Holiday Dinner Party.
• January – No First Friday due to the fact that we all need a break after the holidays
• February 5th – Connie and Gary Monell
• March 5th – Maureen Lu and Chuck Fleming
• April 2nd – Becky and Mike Bickford  (If complex patio project has been completed.)
• May 7th – Karen and Roger Kloepping

Upcoming Events

• Saturday, January 30:  AAUW Bi-Branch Luncheon at Anna’s Ranch in Waimea:  We are the sponsors this year and we have planned a special event at Anna’s Ranch in Waimea.  We will have a tour of her Ranch and learn about the life of one of our early Big Island women.  We will enjoy a great lunch; take a tour of the ranch; and learn about her life and the early days of the ranch. 
• April 16-18, 2010 – Hawaii-Pacific Division Convention in Honolulu:  Every other year we have a Hawaii-Pacific Division Convention.  This year it will be held in Honolulu.  The tentative plans are for a tour of the new Hawaiian Hall at the BishopMuseum on Friday followed by the Division Board Meeting at the Honolulu AAUW Residence, 3:00pm to 5:00pm.  There will be a Friday night dinner for board members and all interested delegates; business meetings, speakers, and workshops on Saturday; and on Sunday there will be a brunch for all participants.  Please save the week-end and consider joining us in Honolulu.
